亡霊とは「その復活かと恐れられる、今は亡びた過去のもの。」（広辞苑第7版／岩波書店）とある。
幽霊とは「死者が成仏し得ないで、この世に姿を現したもの。」（同）とある。
亡霊は過去に原因になる対象が実在していて、結果人々の記憶や感情として残っているもの。
幽霊は（少なくとも霊感のない私には）、宗教的および概念的なものとして言い伝えられているもの。
幽霊が存在するかしないかについては言及しないが、私は制作において、見えないけれど確かに存在するもののリアリティを表現したいと考えている。
よって今回のテーマは「亡霊」とする。
亡霊の正体を探るにあたり、それらは実体がつかめないということが問題として挙げられる。
そこでモチーフに使用するのは、ポイ捨てされたごみだ。
選択した条件は、死んだものであること・得体の知れないものであること、だ。
地域の砂浜クリーン作戦に参加する。そこには、発泡スチロールの残骸や、ペットボトル、流木など多くのものが流れ着く。
簡単に燃えるごみと燃えないゴミには分けるが、本来はリサイクルにあたり細かな約束があるはずだ。
しかし、ペットボトルには異臭を放つ液体が入っていたり、流木には破れた網が絡みついたりしている。
これらは所有者を失い、本来の役割を思い出せず、自分自身が何であったのかさえわからないまま大きく括られた「ゴミ」というレッテルを貼られる。
そんな亡びた過去のものをモチーフにすることは道理だった。
作品は視覚と触覚という2つのレイヤーで構成される。
視覚によって得られたモチーフの輪郭線と、触覚によって得られたフロッタージュの痕跡。
これを蝋引きすることで支持体は半透明になり、2つのモダリティはパラレルになる。
鑑賞者は作品と向き合う中で作品の中の視覚レイヤーをとらえようとしたり、触覚レイヤーをとらえようとしたりする。
片方だけならばとらえることはできる。しかし、同時に2つをとらえようとすると難しい。
それらの間を揺らぎながらとらえようとするがとらえきれない、その不確かな現象こそ亡霊ではないかと考える。
Ghost(亡霊);the phenomenon occurs from extinct objects.
Everyone suspects revival it and very frighten of.
In past,It has substance that was exist.So, consequently people memorize and feel it.
Ghost(幽霊);the spirit can't rest in peace and still staying in this world with no body.
It is taught about by as religious or fantasy-like.
I'm not sure ghost is exist or not,but I have been giving expression to invisible things;air,humidity,emotion and so on.
Thus I decided to theme "ghost".
The problem isn't able to see the presence for search for details.
Then,i pic a garbage for the motif.
The reason;to pass away and unidentified.
I joined "clean up operation for beach".
There are many garbage drifted to.Styrofoams,plastic bottle,driftwoods.
We separated garbage for burnable or non-barnable.
But there are rules for to throw it away rightly.
The garbage in the beach is liquad contain in plastic bottles and nets are tangled up at driftwood.
They lost owner and can't remember what i am.People are labeling them as it's "garbage" simply.
It is easy for me to elect the motif that passed away and unidentified.
My artpiece consist of two layers;sight and touch.
The outline comes up from seeing the motif.The trace has occured from frottage.
Next,i wax for the paper.It becomes translucent.And two modalities becomes parallel.
When viewer fases my work,they try to get a outline and frottage.
It's possible to get either,but can't get both.
I think "ghost" might have been either this ambivalent phenomenon that we can't perceive at same time.
